Tone should feel like a recommendation from a friend rather than an ad, so please adjust the script and language so it sounds like you. We want the viewer to see you as the cool older sister who has done the research, tried everything out there, and is passing on what she wishes someone had told her. Well lit, ideally with natural light throughout. If your bathroom is dark, please shoot during the day rather than in the evening or relying on overhead lighting alone. Ideally the routine itself is filmed in the bathroom, taking us through each step, with the products clearly visible at least once. Wear whatever you'd actually be wearing. Workout gear, trackies, a hoodie, all of it works. Someone who looks after herself and is comfortable in her own home, rather than a polished influencer. If you can, keep to neutrals: grey, beige, cream, soft browns, black and white. Nothing bright or heavily patterned, so the focus stays on you and the products. The same goes for makeup: wear it, do it after your morning routine, take it off at the end of the day. There's no shame in any of that and we want this to look like your actual day rather than a version of it staged for us.
