Calling out competitor

Calling out competitor

The brief for this project was to create a UGC video for a brand that sells hash-free natural deodorants. The key objective was to highlight the benefits of the brand’s product by directly comparing it to competitors, educating the audience about harmful ingredients in conventional deodorants, and positioning the natural deodorant as a safer, healthier, and more appealing alternative. How the Brief Was Used: 1. Concept Development: I chose the “calling out competitors” concept to draw attention to the differences between the natural deodorant and traditional options. This approach allowed me to educate the audience while addressing common concerns about deodorants. 2. Content Structure: • Introduction: Highlighted the problem with competitor deodorants (e.g., harmful ingredients). • Education: Explained the risks of those ingredients and how they impact health. • Solution: Introduced the natural deodorant, emphasising its safety and availability in multiple fragrances. • Call-to-Action: Encouraged viewers to make the switch to a healthier alternative. 3. Visual and Messaging Style: The video was tailored to match the brand’s tone—informative yet engaging—with clean visuals, relatable language, and a confident delivery to build trust with the audience. Platforms & Placement: The content was optimized for social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, focusing on short-form video formats. Captions and on-screen text were added for accessibility and to boost engagement. This approach demonstrated my ability to blend creativity with brand messaging to create effective UGC that resonates with audiences.

Direct Testimonial

The brief for this project was to create a UGC video for a beauty device that cleanses the face, effectively removing makeup and impurities without leaving any residue. The goal was to demonstrate how the product works, highlight its benefits, and build credibility by mentioning the brand’s recognition in the industry. How the Brief Was Used: 1. Concept Development: I choose a “direct testimonial” approach, where I personally demonstrated the product’s use and shared my experience. This authentic and relatable format helped establish trust with the audience, showing the real-life benefits of the beauty device. 2. Content Structure: • Introduction: Briefly introduced the beauty device and its primary function (deep cleaning without residue). • Demonstration: Showed the step-by-step usage of the device, emphasizing how easy and effective it is to use. • Benefits: Explained how the product helps with cleaner skin, removes makeup and impurities, and leaves no residue. • Brand Credibility: Ended with a strong statement about the brand’s credibility, mentioning its 250+ industry awards to reinforce its reputation and success. 3. Visual and Messaging Style: The video had a personal and relaxed tone, focusing on the hands-on experience with the device. The clean, fresh visuals of the device in use helped convey the product’s effectiveness, and the mention of the awards added an extra layer of trust. Platforms & Placement: The content was designed for social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, optimized for short-form video to grab attention quickly and encourage viewers to engage. The video included on-screen text for emphasis and accessibility. This video demonstrated the power of authentic, relatable content in building trust and promoting a high-quality product effectively.
